Goldie's Takes: Week 10

(Elsa/Getty Images/BR)

Goldie’s All Time Record: 33-17

Goldie’s Week 9 record: 8-5

Goldie’s Guarantee: 4-0

Goldie’s Upset: 2-2

Crazy Uncle Jeff: 1-0

Goldie’s Guarantee

Denver Broncos (3-5) @ Las Vegas Raiders (5-3)

Vegas Picks: LV -3.5

Goldie’s Take: Raiders Win 27-21

Jon Gruden has Derek Carr playing the best football of his career right now. Raiders looked shaky at first, but I’m really starting to believe in this Raiders team. On the other hand, I’m really starting to lose faith in Drew Lock and the Broncos. They’re just not there yet. Raiders need this win more than the Broncos, and it’ll show this weekend. I expect Denver to keep it close but the Raiders to pull away with a win at the end. I Guarantee it.

Goldie’s Upset of the Week

Philadelphia Eagles (3-4-1) @ New York Giants (2-7)

Vegas Picks: PHI -4

Goldie’s Take: Giants Win 26-19

The Giants are a much better football team than their record shows. They’ve had six consecutive games that have been decided by only one score, and their defense is better than it's been given credit. Wentz looked very shaky in the Eagles win against Dallas in Week 8 before their bye. I like the Giants momentum coming into this game. The boys in the locker room are starting to believe in themselves and they fight for every inch every Sunday. GMen win this one in a slugfest as things in the "NFC LEast" get wackier and wackier.

Crazy Uncle Jeff’s Lock of the Week: PIT -7.5

Cincinnati Bengals (2-5-1) @ Pittsburgh Steelers (8-0)

Vegas Picks: PIT -7.5

Goldie’s Take: Steelers Win 24-13

Crazy Uncle Jeff and I are in agreement that this will be a surefire big win for Pittsburgh. Bengals have been wildly inconsistent all year as Joe Burrow and company still try to figure it out. Steelers come into this one off a very ugly win in Dallas last week. I’m sure Mike Tomlin couldn’t have been happy with their performance. I think Pittsburgh comes out strong and never looks back this Sunday.

Houston Texans (2-6) @ Cleveland Browns (5-3)

Vegas Picks: CLE -4

Goldie’s Take: Browns Win 31-27

Brownies staying at home coming off a bye. They’ve had plenty of time to prepare for this subpar Houston team. The return of RB Nick Chubb should give this Browns offense a boost, as I think the offense gets rolling this Sunday. The Browns improve to 6-3 and get a much needed win as the playoff race begins to heat up.

Washington Football Team (2-6) @ Detroit Lions (3-5)

Vegas Picks: DET -3.5

Goldie’s Take: Lions Win 23-17

Stafford and the Lions return home this Sunday after a tough loss in Minnesota last weekend. I think the Lions get back on track this weekend especially since Washington’s offense has been horrendous this year. The "No Names" have struggled mightily to put points on the board, and they’re on their third starting quarterback in just nine games.  Detroit gets a win this Sunday in a defensive ballgame.

Jacksonville Jaguars (1-7) @ Green Bay Packers (6-2)

Vegas Picks: GB -13.5

Goldie’s Take: Packers Win 35-21

Jaguars sixth round QB Jake Luton makes his second start this Sunday in Green Bay. Tough place for a newly minted QB to play. He’ll be going against a much stingier secondary than he faced in his first game and I think he’ll start to look more like a sixth round pick. Also, he’s going against Aaron Rodgers on the other side of the ball. As Stephen A. Smith would say; “He’s a BAAAAD MANN!”  Packers win this one at home convincingly.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-3) @ Carolina Panthers (3-6)

Vegas Picks: TB -6

Goldie’s Take: Buccaneers Win 30-27

Teddy Bridgewater and the Panthers gave the Chiefs a run for their money last week, and I think they're going to do the same thing this Sunday against the Bucs. The exact same thing. A very close game. Ending withBrady and the Bucs escaping Carolina with a win, as I don’t see Brady losing back to back. I expect Brady’s sheer determination wins this one after getting slaughtered at home vs the Saints last Sunday night on National television. Bucs win a close one on the road.

Buffalo Bills (7-2) @ Arizona Cardinals (5-3)

Vegas Picks: ARI -3

Goldie’s Take: Cardinals Win 35-33

Both of these teams are coming off shootouts in the previous week. Cardinals suffered a loss to a red hot Miami team, and Buffalo surprised some people by beating Seattle last week. I think this game will be another shootout but a reverse in roles this weekend. I see Kyler Murray having a huge day and the Cardinals improving to 6-3. Venue call. Cards win at home.

Los Angeles Chargers (2-6) @ Miami Dolphins (5-3)

Vegas Picks: MIA -1.5

Goldie’s Take: Dolphins Win 27-23

Tua vs. Herbert volume 1 is this Sunday. The number 5 and 6 picks in last year’s draft face off for the first time. Dolphins come into this one red hot, winners of four in a row. Chargers coming off ANOTHER heartbreaking last second loss. Bottom line is the Chargers can’t close. Also no Joey Bosa this week will slow down that Chargers pass rush. Tua looks to build on his last two wins as the Dolphins stay hot and get their fifth win in a row. Don’t sleep on Brian Flores and this Dolphins team.

San Francisco 49ers (4-5) @ New Orleans Saints (6-2)

Vegas Picks: NO -10

Goldie’s Take: Saints Win 30-17

New Orleans shocked everyone last week when stomping on Tom Brady and the Bucs in primetime on the road. I think they ride that momentum right into this one and beat up on an injury plagued Niners team. Saints stay hot in the dome.

Seattle Seahawks (6-2) @ Los Angeles Rams (5-3)

Vegas Picks: LAR -2.5

Goldie’s Take: Seahawks Win 35-30

I just can’t bet against Russell Wilson two weeks in a row. He’s a frontrunner for the MVP right now and I don’t see him losing two in a row, especially with this one being a big time division game. However, the Rams will be well rested, coming off a bye. Big favour for the Rams being rested and preparing for two weeks, while Seattle had a long trip to Buffalo last week. I do think this will be a great game, but I just can’t bring myself to bet against Russell Wilson in a divisional tilt.

Baltimore Ravens (6-2) @ New England Patriots (3-5)

Vegas Picks: BAL -7

Goldie’s Take: Ravens Win 24-16

Sunday Night football in Foxboro this weekend. Although Ravens vs Pats won’t have the same hype as it would in past years, I do think this will be a good game. Belichick will devise a good game plan to control Lamar, but the Ravens are just the more talented group. Ravens pickup a gritty win in New England on primetime.

Minnesota Vikings (3-5) @ Chicago Bears (5-4)

Vegas Picks: MIN -3

Goldie’s Take: Bears Win 26-24

A very interesting matchup this week on Monday night. The Bears come into this one on a three game losing streak, while the Vikings have won two in a row. Both of those streaks are going to come to an end though this Monday, as I think Chicago figures it out at home. Dalvin Cook will have a nice night, but it won’t be enough as the Bears will get back on track. DA BEARS get a win on MNF and get back in the playoff hunt.
