4. ARSENAL BACK TO WINNING WAYS


We start the weekend off with some positive news for the Arsenal fans, as they finally get their first Premier League win of this season as well as their opening goal of the season against Norwich City who are now at the bottom with Newcastle United. A goal from Pierre- Emerick Aubameyang was enough to put the gunners ahead giving them a 1-0 win on Saturday. Good start for Arsenal after a disastrous opening three weeks of this Premier League season.


3. BAYERN TRIUMPHANT OVER LEIPZIG


After an absolute dominant display FC Bayern Munich beat RB Leipzig away from home giving them three points over the rivals. Goals from Robert Lewandowski, youngster Jamal Musiala, Leroy Sane and stoppage time goal from Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting gives ex RB Leipzig manager Julian Nagelsmann his third win in the Bundesliga against his old club. League top scorer Robert Lewandowski (six goals) adds yet another goal to his ever-growing goal tally and makes him one ahead of competitor Erling Haaland ( five goals ). All together a satisfying and exploiting performance by the current league defenders who plan to go for their 10th consecutive league title.


2. RECORD BREAKING HAT TRICK FOR MESSI


This time we have none other than Lionel Messi who scores a beautiful hattrick against Bolivia to make him the all the time leading scorer of South America. Surpassing football Icon Pele and getting a total of 79 goals in all international matches. Outscoring Pele’s 77 goal Tally. After a memorable Summer, where he won the Copa America and finally claiming his first ever International trophy for Argentina as a senior player and being the only player in history to be top Scorer and top assister as well as winning best player of the tournament, he breaks yet another record and makes him the prime contender for his seventh balon d’or more convincing than ever.


1. THE PERFECT HOMECOMING FOR RONALDO


To finish this recap there was no other news that’s bigger than this! Cristiano Ronaldo making his return in the Red Devils shirt. After a shocking transfer window, the ex Manchester United player made a surprise return to the club this summer. The 36 year old did this in fashion as he scored a brace and made his homecoming that much more memorable. With goals from Bruno Fernandes and Jesse Lindgard saw Manchester United won in a comfortable fashion. 4-1 over Newcastle United, Cristiano Ronaldo yet again proves why he is one of the best in the world and defies his age once again.
