Friday’s Dynamite was the last show before the Double Or Nothing pay-per-view

The Double Or Nothing pay-per-view drew near as All Elite Wrestling (AEW) had its last show before the marquee event Friday night.
For the first time in over a year, a full crowd was also in attendance. It was an instant game-changer.
The show saw Darby Allin defeat Cezar Bononi, Jade Cargill beat KiLynn King and Miro make light work of Dante Martin. Cody and Anthony Ogogo also had their weigh-in
Elsewhere on the card, Adam Page battled Joey Janela, Evil Uno and Stu Grayson took on Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky and The Inner Circle reflected on its legacy in AEW.
Hikaru Shida also celebrated being AEW Women’s Champion for one year and the competitors in the AEW World Championship three-way match came face-to-face.

The ‘Hangman’ and the ‘Bad Boy’ meet again

For the first time since 2018, Adam Page and Joey Janela had a one-on-one match Friday and it didn’t disappoint. One of the added bonuses of having fans back at full capacity was a reminder of how popular Janela is.
This was a hard-hitting contest, which left Page bloodied by the end. Everyone’s favourite cowboy was able to withstand an offensive onslaught from his opponent and hit the Buckshot Lariat to win.
After the match, Taz called out Page and Brian Cage made his way to the ring. Cage and Page exchanged words before ‘Hangman’ encouraged his opponent at the pay-per-view to be a man and fight the match without his posse.
Page and Sky are ready to cash in

Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky have been unstoppable since teaming up this past spring. However, their toughest task will come Sunday when they face Darby Allin and Sting.
Before their match at the pay-per-view, the two took on Stu Grayson and Evil Uno of Dark Order. It was a short, but competitive match, but in the end Page and Sky were victorious.
After the match, Allin and Sting made their way to the ring and stood tall heading into Sunday’s show.
The doctor makes her move

Hikaru Shida’s reign as AEW Women’s World Champion has been storied and it has been fruitful, but a new queen is coming for the throne.
During Shida’s one-year championship reign celebration, Britt Baker interrupted. She proclaimed on Sunday she’d become the new champion.
The AEW crowd applauded her, but was also respectful to the current champion's accomplishment. On Sunday, it could be a new beginning for the division.
AEW World Championship competitors are ready for the three-way dance

PAC, Orange Cassidy and AEW World Champion Kenny Omega came face-to-face prior to their three-way match at Double Or Nothing.
Cassidy responded to Omega by ripping up the contract Don Callis had put forward, but before he could pick up the title, PAC stopped him. AEW’s resident bastard wouldn’t give the spotlight up easily.
Not to be outdone, Omega also engaged in the brawl and tried to slither away with his title. However, in the end it was Cassidy who lackadaisical held the belt up as the segment went to commercial.
Is this a sign of things to come at Double Or Nothing?
The Inner Circle’s last dance?

Since the debut episode of AEW Dynamite, The Inner Circle has been a force to be reckoned with in the company.
The group celebrated its greatest hits Friday, before what could be their last match as a faction at the Double Or Nothing pay-per-view. They’ll look to avenge their loss from last year’s event in Stadium Stampede II.
Just as it looked like the potential farewell celebration would go off without a hitch, MJF showed up on the screen and he had taken Dean Malenko Hostage. Jericho and his faction rushed to the aid of his friend, but it proved to be a trap.
The rest of The Pinnacle intercepted them and beat them down. FTR got hold of Santana and Ortiz before piledriving them off a ledge and through a pair of tables.
With The Pinnacle on top Friday and night and the Inner Circle beat to a pulp, things don’t look good for the group heading into Sunday’s pay-per-view.
Next week: The fallout from Double Or Nothing will be felt in full force!
