Diffusing Dynamite June 30

(AEW)

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) Dynamite was back on Wednesday night for the first time in over a month and it was also the final show of the pandemic era. With so much attention on the show you know AEW had to deliver.

For the show AEW had Chris Jericho on commentary all night, Miro successfully defended the TNT Championship against Brian Pillman Jr. and Britt Baker and Rebel defeated Vickie Guerreo and Nyla Rose.

As always the Diffusing Dynamite team of Joseph Casciaro and Gavin Axelrod have you covered for all things AEW!

New number one contenders

The opening bout of Dynamite was everything you would hope for from the first match on a show. It was Eddie Kingston and Penta El Zero M against The Young Bucks.

This match delivered in every way possible and the makeshift team of Kingston and Penta worked so well together. The match had it all from great technical wrestling to breath-taking high spots.

When it came down to it, there was miscue with The Elite and Brandon Cutler sprayed Matt Jackson in the eyes with cold spray. Kingston and Penta were then able to secure the win and become the brand new number one contenders for The Bucks’ AEW Tag Team Championships!

Christian vs Matt Hardy

Christian Cage got some redemption on Matt Hardy after last week’s shenanigans and it seems like a match between the two is on the horizon. Cage attacked Hardy in the ring and choked him out in the ring to send his message. A match between the two will be a nice blast from the past!

Team Taz in shambles

Announced on Dynamite from Taz himself was that Brian Cage will be defending the FTW Championship against Ricky Starks, in a battle of Team Taz!

Hangman to the moon

It seems as though the ‘Hangman’ Adam Page push is finally happening and he is being built up to face Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship. Omega delivered a promo saying Hangman doesn’t belong in the ring with him and he doesn’t deserve a shot at the title.

Dark Order then made their way to the ring to confront Kenny, but oddly enough Page did not join them. It seems as though Page may be afraid to once again face his old friend Kenny.

Later in the night we had a backstage segment with Dark Order and Page, where Page was not too happy. He was upset that his friends went out there and talked on his behalf to put him against his old friend.

However, Dark Order did not want to hear it and they told him enough time has passed and he is ready again. It is his time to step up once again, and I must say the build to the looming Kenny vs Hangman match is already off to an incredible start!

MJF vs Sammy steal the show

(AEW)

The main event of Dynamite was the long awaited clash between MJF and Sammy Guevara. This has been a match in the making for almost a year now with The Pinnacle and Inner Circle feud.

I must say both men absolutely delivered here tonight and put on a match for the ages. They both showed how bright the future of AEW is and that they will be at the top of the company for a very long time.

I’d say this was one of the best main events in a very long time and I was on the edge of my seat for the entire match. The close of the match saw Shawn Spears getting involved hitting Sammy with a chair and allowing MJF to get the win. It seems like the close of The Pinnacle vs Inner Circle feud is on the horizon and I’ve enjoyed most of it I must say.
