Three championship matches make for must-see show

It was a night of first for AEW on Wednesday night, starting with their inaugural broadcast on TBS.
The show also saw the first TBS Champion crowned in an exciting match between Ruby Sobo and Jade Cargill.
Elsewhere on the card “Hangman” Adam Page defended the AEW World Championship against Bryan Danielson and the Lucha Brothers defended the tag team titles against Jurassic Express. Malakai Black also took on Brian Pillman Jr. and MJF was in action too.

Wednesday's opener between Adam Page and Bryan Danielson for the AEW World Championship was brutal, bloody and beautiful.
The match went just under 30 minutes, but will definitely go down as a hard-hitting classic. If you didn’t catch this match be sure to check it out.
Having Page hand Danielson his first-ever loss in AEW and slaying the dragon is a huge deal. Plus, it only fuels to the fire that Page could be Danielson but Kenny Omega couldn’t.
However, what's next for Page remains to be seen. If rumours are to be believed, a certain purveyor of violence could be returning soon.
MJF 0-1?

Who could’ve seen MJF starting 2022 0-1? Certainly not us.
What looked like it would be an easy win over Shawn Dean quickly fell apart. CM Punk made a beeline for the ring and demanded to face MJF. When the leader of The Pinnacle wouldn’t accept the challenge, Punk hit a GTS on Dean.
At first, the commentary team, fans and viewers at home were confused, but Punk’s scheme was quickly revealed. By hitting Dean, he cost MJF the match and gave him an 0-1 record for the year.
After a heated promo battle, it was revealed that Punk would take on Wardlow next week.

Wednesday’s TBS Title Tournament Final between Ruby Soho and Jade Cargill wasn’t a classic, but it served a bigger purpose.
Ever since Cargill debuted her character work has been top-tier and now she’ll go down in history as the first TBS Champion. With Mark Sterling by her side the possibilities are endless for her reign.
As Battle of the Belts comes and goes over the weekend, Cargill’s next feud should present itself
Welcome to the jungle

Wednesday’s Dynamite ended with a surprise title change, as Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus captured the AEW World Tag Team Titles.
However, the happy ending to the match will definitely be overshadowed. Rey Fenix took a brutal table bump toward the end of the match and his elbow appeared to snap. Here’s to hoping he has a quick recovery.
As for the new champions, they have a locker room full of challengers as shown at the end of the show.
