The Dragon and the hungee faced off in another epic show

The final episode of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) Dynamite before Winter Is Coming emanated from New York Wednesday night and it was a tremendous show.
Jamie Hayter and Riho stole the show in a fantastic match, a familiar friend returned and Bryan Danielson’s warpath continued. We also found out the AEW Rampage pay-per-view will be held on March 8, 2022 in Orlando.
Elsewhere on the show we saw Jurassic Express and the Varsity Blonds defeat The Acclaimed and 2Point0, Cody Rhodes challenged Sammy Guevara for the TNT Title and Malakai Black’s shocking attack on Julia Hart.

CM Punk is back, MJF returns and Dante Martin deceives Team Taz

The first 30 minutes of Wednesday’s show were electric. CM Punk kicked off the night, entering tom MJF’s music and cut what was probably his best promo in AEW yet.
After Punk got the New York faithful all riled up, a promo package for MJF’s homecoming aired and the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royale was on. The battle royale itself was nothing special, but it did have a lot of story progression.
MJF eliminated Wardlow during the match and Dante Martin turned on Ricky Starks to punch his ticket to next week’s final. It was a bit disappointing to see that Martin’s alliance with Team Taz is potentially already over, but it’s definitely also one of AEW’s most intriguing storylines.
We’ll also see what the fallout is from MJF costing Wardlow a spot in the finals. All signs point to Mr. Mayhem finally ditching MJF in the new year.
Young Bucks cause Chaos

The Young Bucks defeated Chuck Taylor and Rocky Romero Wednesday night, but what happened after had everyone buzzing.
Adam Cole and The Bucks laid out Taylor, Romero and even Orange Cassidy. Wheeler Yuta also tried to make the save, but his efforts were no good.
Just as all hope seemed lost, Best Friends’ music hit and a familiar white van appeared on the screen. Trent, who also reacquired his last name, made a glorious return alongside his mother Sue. He returned to the ring, evened the odds and the people finally got what they wanted with not one, but two celebratory hugs.
Hayter and Riho steal the show

Jamie Hayter and Riho had an amazing match Wednesday night, probably the best contest on the card too.
What made their styles mesh nicely was that it was a tale of a true powerhouse versus an absolute underdog. Hayter also spent time in Japan and even faced Riho in action once there too. In addition, Hayter and Emi Sakura teamed up to take on Riho and Shanna back in 2019.
If you missed this match, it’s certainly a must-watch. Hayter came out a very strong-looking loser and Riho continued her momentum towards Britt Baker.
Danielson is a man of his word

Bryan Danielson did what he said he was gonna do and kicked John Silver’s head in Wednesday night. However, it was anything but easy for him.
Silver put up a great fight and at points, it even looked like he might pull off the victory. However, it wasn’t meant to be.
After the match, Hangman Page made a beeline for the ring and beat down Danielson. He exclaimed next week he would beat the cowboy stuff out of him too.
