Diffusing Dynamite Aug. 25

CM Punk made his Dynamite debut on another exciting episode of AEW programming

(AEW)

By: Gavin Axelrod

All Elite Wrestling’s (AEW) Summer of Punk tour stopped in Milwaukee Wednesday night.

The card saw Orange Cassidy defeat Matt Hardy, Darby Allin and company beat the Wingmen and more. Elsewhere on the show, the relationship between Dark Order continued to grow more tense and Miro continue to call out Eddie Kingston.

We also found out Andrade El Idolo will face PAC at All Out and Britt Baker will also defend the AEW Women’s World Championship against Kris Statlander at the event.

As always Gavin Axelrod and Joseph Casciaro have you on all things AEW Dynamite

What does the future hold for Chris Jericho?

(AEW)

After losing to MJF one week ago, Chris Jericho was out for vengeance. He told the crowd that even though he lost last week, a voice in his head is still telling him to fight MJF.

Since that voice won't stay quiet, Jericho is going to put it all on the line Sept. 5 at All Out in Chicago. If Jericho loses he will retire from in-ring competition and his illustrious career will be finished.

Lucha Bros. advance

(AEW)

In the second-semi final to determine The Young Bucks’ opponent for the AEW World Tag Team Championship at All Out the Lucha Brothers defeated the Varsity Blonds. It was a competitive match from start to finish and both teams truly got to shine.

However, it wasn’t meant to be on this night for the young blonds. The Lucha Brothers are now one win away from facing The Young Bucks in a steel cage match at All Out, but getting there won’t be an easy task.

In order for Penta El Zero M and Rey Fenix to book a date with the champions, they’ll have to defeat the team of Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus on a future episode of Dynamite.

Jamie Hayter impresses in Dynamite in-ring return

(AEW)

Jamie Hayter made her in-ring return to AEW Dynamite and looked tremendous. She made quick work of Red Velvet in what seemed to be an enhancement match.

After the contest, Baker started to beat down Velvet and out came everyone’s favourite alien, Kris Statlander. She took out both Hayter and the champion, standing tall before the Milwaukee faithful.

CM Punk hits the ring

(AEW)

CM Punk didn’t have to say much to get the crowd into a frenzy. However, he did tease a major AEW debut.

While Punk spoke, he told the audience he had to fight Darby Allin at All Out to answer the question of if he could still go in the ring. To his pleasure, the fans started doing a “yes” chant at Punk.

Suddenly the gears shifted and Punk told the audience that the chant was reserved for another star and if they were patient enough he would be there soon. The final countdown is officially on folks.

Who can stop Malaki Black?

(AEW)

Malaki Black made quick work of young Brock Anderson in the main event of Dynamite. This begged the question to all the people watching the show about who could stop Black?

As far as the immediate future goes, it looks like “Big Shotty” Lee Johnson will be stepping up to the plate. Johnson, a fellow Nightmare Family member, came to the aid of both Arn and Brock Anderson after the match.

While the faction’s leader Cody Rhodes continues to be absent, it looks like one of the Nightmare Family’s top prospects will look to avenge his comrades.

Next week: FTR take on Santana and Ortiz, MJF sits down with Tony Schiavone and more!
